SWSC Secures Two Bronze Medals at the UAE Karate Federation Kata Cup
Sharjah Women’s Sports Club (SWSC) delivered a commendable performance at the UAE Karate Federation Kata Cup – Individual, held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Sharjah Individual Games Club, Al Hazana. The championship featured intense competition among top-tier clubs, including Shabab Al Ahli Club, Dubai Police, Mentor Sports Academy, Ewan Sports Academy, Torossian Sports Academy, and Agyal Academy.
Despite the high level of competition, SWSC athletes showcased resilience and determination, earning two bronze medals in a challenging field of elite competitors. This achievement highlights the club's dedication to refining its athletes’ skills and preparing them for high-caliber tournaments.
Strong Performances in the Cadet and Junior Divisions
In the Cadet division, Iman Kanaan demonstrated impressive technical ability and competitive spirit, securing a bronze medal after facing strong opposition from Ewan Sports Academy and Shabab Al Ahli Club. Her performance reflected the rigorous training and disciplined preparation that went into this championship.
Meanwhile, in the Junior division, Mariam Al Batoul added another bronze medal to SWSC’s tally after a remarkable display of skill and tactical precision in matches against athletes from Shabab Al Ahli Club and Dubai Police. Her composure and strategic execution throughout the competition underscored her growing potential in kata.
Coach’s Statement
Head Coach Nesma Wanas praised the team’s performance, stating: "This tournament was highly competitive, and our athletes rose to the occasion with unwavering commitment and discipline. Their performances reflect the intensive training and preparation they underwent leading up to the event."
