Sharjah had opened the final series with a 64–59 victory in the first leg on 14 February, in a closely contested match that reflected the high level of competition between the two sides. The encounter was marked by tactical discipline, balance, and strong mental presence during decisive moments.
The final series reflected the true competitive standard of the season’s top two teams, with both matches featuring fast-paced play, defensive commitment, and strong collective execution of tactical plans. Together, the two encounters highlighted the continued development of women’s basketball in the emirate.
Ziad Al Natour, Head Coach of Sharjah Women’s Sports Club, said: “This title is the direct result of the hard work, discipline, and commitment shown by the players since the start of the season. Every training session and every difficult match formed part of a continuous building process, leading up to the two final games that required high concentration and careful management of details.
“The players handled the pressure with a clear team spirit, and their maturity was evident in the way they executed the game plan and maintained technical stability until the final moments. We faced a well-organized and strong team, and the difference came through defensive discipline and making the most of our opportunities.
“I would like to thank the technical and administrative staff for their preparation and work behind the scenes, because championships are decided by details. This title is important, but it also brings a responsibility to continue developing and maintain our level of performance in the coming seasons.”
Fatima Zagrouba, Head Coach of Khorfakkan Women’s Sports Club, said her team delivered a season to be proud of.
“Reaching the final and performing at this level against the top team reflects the progress we have made this season. The players fought with great spirit in both matches, especially in the first leg, which was highly competitive. We will benefit from this experience and continue building for the coming seasons with greater confidence,” she said.
This title strengthens Sharjah Women’s Sports Club’s presence in the women’s basketball scene, while Khorfakkan Women’s Sports Club has confirmed its position as a strong contender capable of reaching decisive stages. The final also reflects the success of the technical and developmental system within Sharjah Women’s Sports clubs, and its continued ability to deliver competitive performances driven by renewed ambition and the pursuit of further achievements.
