Director of Sharjah Women’s Sports
Her Excellency Moza Al Shamsi
H. E. Moza Al Shamsi brings more than 19 years of experience across sports management and institutional leadership, having held a range of executive and strategic roles within the government and sports sectors. Throughout her career, she has contributed to the development of initiatives and projects focused on governance, empowerment, and the creation of sustainable environments that support growth and excellence.
She currently serves as Director of Sharjah Women’s Sports, where she supports the implementation of the vision of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of Sharjah Family and Community Council, in advancing an integrated sports ecosystem that empowers women and strengthens their presence across local, regional, and international sporting arenas.
Al Shamsi also served as Tournament Director of the eighth edition of the Arab Women Sports Tournament (2026), in addition to her role as a member of the Higher Committee of the tournament’s seventh edition in 2024, one of the region’s leading women’s sporting events.
Prior to joining Sharjah Women’s Sports, she served as Deputy Director of Sharjah Youth, part of Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, where she contributed to the development of programs and initiatives focused on youth empowerment, leadership, and innovation.
Al Shamsi began her professional journey in the sports sector as Head of the Financial Department at Sharjah Sports Council, building extensive expertise in sports finance and institutional governance. She also served as a member of the UAE Football Association’s Wage Governance and Player Contracts Committee and participated in several national committees related to financial management and sports governance.
She has held a number of leadership and governance roles across sports organizations and committees, including her former membership on the Board of Directors of the UAE Women’s Sports Federation and chairing its National Teams Committee from 2023 to 2025. She also serves on the Financial Committee of the UAE National Olympic Committee and the Financial Committee of the Gulf Youth Games 2024, alongside her participation in the Financial Governance Committee for Clubs at Sharjah Sports Council.
Her Excellency holds several professional accreditations, including certification as a Financial Expert by the UAE Ministry of Economy and accreditation as a Legal Expert before the UAE Courts, in addition to an international qualification in management accounting (ACCA). She also has experience in entrepreneurship and received the “Best Business Project” award in 2015 for a graduation project by students from the University of Sharjah.
Al Shamsi believes that the advancement of sports is rooted in building strong institutional ecosystems that invest in talent, strengthen governance, and create sustainable opportunities for future generations.
