Sharjah Women’s Sports Club concluded its 2025–2026 Archery League campaign with an impressive overall showing that reflected consistent technical performance and growing depth across the team. The club’s athletes maintained a strong presence on the podium during the final stage of the league, held on 18 and 19 April at the Sharjah Police Officers Club.
The opening day featured a number of standout individual performances. Amna Al Awadi claimed gold in the Women’s Compound category, while Samia Odeneva won gold in the Under-18 Recurve category, followed by Mona Al Sharaa with silver.
In the Women’s Recurve category, Sharjah athletes continued their strong showing, with Snehal Divakar taking gold, Maha Al Hosani finishing second and Fatima Al Baloushi securing bronze. Sara Al Baloushi also won a silver medal.
The positive results continued on the second day, as Salama Al Ali claimed gold in the Under-12 Recurve category, while Elma Sigri took bronze in the same category. In the Under-15 Compound event, Masa Al Dorous secured silver and Maha Thamer Al Shamsi added bronze, while Sheikha Abdullah earned bronze in the Under-10 category.
Across the overall league standings, the club’s athletes secured 14 individual podium finishes, including five gold, five silver and four bronze medals, underlining the team’s sustained competitiveness across multiple categories.
The breadth of the squad was equally evident, with 34 athletes competing across 11 different categories throughout the league. Age-group athletes accounted for more than 70% of the overall squad, reflecting the success of the club’s technical programme in developing a strong pipeline capable of sustaining future results.
Several athletes also demonstrated notable consistency throughout the season. Amna Al Awadi secured the Women’s Compound title after leading most stages of the league, while Snehal Divakar topped the Women’s Recurve standings. In the Under-18 category, Samia Odeneva emerged as another standout performer, setting a new national record with a score of 675 points.
Commenting on the results, coach Zakhra Tajayeva said the performances reflected the team’s sustained work throughout the season, noting that the spread of podium finishes across a wide range of athletes further strengthens the squad’s readiness for upcoming competitions.
She added that the next phase will focus on refining technical details and improving consistency, particularly as the club continues to expand its base of athletes across the younger age groups, supporting a sustainable competitive pathway.
The season’s results further reinforce Sharjah Women’s Sports Club’s position in archery, driven by a system that combines competitive success with the continued development of a strong and sustainable athlete base.
