Outstanding Achievements by SWSC in the Fourth Stage of UAE Archery League
The fourth stage of UAE Archery League concluded with remarkable success, featuring intense competitions across various age groups. Hosted by Al Bataeh Cultural and Sports Club on January 25 and 26, 2025, the event saw participation from five prominent clubs: Sharjah Women's Sports Club, Fujairah Martial Arts Club, Abu Dhabi Archery Club, D'Archers Club, and Mushrif Academy.
Day One Highlights: SWSC Rising Stars Shine Bright
In the Recurve Bow – Under 12 (Girls) category, Salama Al Ali claimed the gold medal, followed by Sheikha Al Shamsi with silver and Alya Faisal Al Shar’ securing bronze.
In the Recurve Bow – Under 15 (Girls) category, Samia Odeneva earned silver, while Maryam Saleh Shalwah secured bronze.
Meanwhile, in the Compound Bow Under –12 (Girls) category, Mouza Al Shamsi showcased her exceptional skills to win gold, with Alya Al Shamsi taking silver and Shamma Al Shamsi winning bronze.
Day Two Highlights: Sharjah Women’s Athletes Excel
In the Recurve Bow – Women category, Sinehal Devkar delivered a stellar performance to clinch the gold medal, with Fatima Al Baloushi and Maha Al Hosani taking silver and bronze, respectively.
The Recurve Bow Under –18 (Girls) category saw Wedad Abdullah win silver and Mourwa Al Serkal take home bronze.
In the Compound Bow – Women category, Amena Al Awadi continued her winning streak, securing gold and reaffirming her dominance in the sport.
Technical Insights and Development Vision
Elena Lapsina, head coach of the SWSC archery team, emphasized the significance of this stage in fostering consistency between the players' training performance and their competition results. She noted: "Many players have demonstrated remarkable stability, overcoming the pressure of competition while maintaining the high standards they set during training. This stability is a promising indicator of their readiness for future challenges."
Lapsina also highlighted the team's rigorous training regimen, which includes six weekly sessions and two additional morning practices that players attend before fulfilling their academic commitments in schools and universities. She added, "The dedication and discipline shown by the athletes reflect their commitment to continuous improvement. We remain devoted to supporting them in achieving accomplishments that honor the UAE and women’s sports both locally and internationally."

These achievements underscore the ongoing commitment of the Sharjah Women’s Sports to advancing archery and nurturing talent across all age groups. With a focus on providing comprehensive training programs and preparation camps, the clubs aim to showcase the UAE’s excellence on the global sports stage.
