Sharjah Women’s Sports Club (SWSC) delivered an exceptional performance in the second leg of the UAE Women’s Volleyball League Finals for the 2024/2025 season, securing a convincing 3-0 win over the American University in Dubai (AUD). The match, held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Sharjah Women’s Sports Club Arena, saw the team bounce back from their first-leg defeat, setting the stage for a decisive championship showdown.
Hanan Al Mahmoud: “Mental Preparation Was the Key to Victory”
Her Excellency Hanan Al Mahmoud, Vice Chairperson of Sharjah Women’s Sports, attributed the team's dominant performance to intensive mental preparation, stating:"The difference between our loss in the first leg and today’s sweeping 3-0 victory lies in the team's mental resilience and preparation. The players underwent specialized sports psychology training at the Mental Preparation Center, which helped them enter the match with unwavering confidence and composure. Their focus remained sharp throughout, allowing them to dictate the pace from start to finish."
She added:"Winning in straight sets is a testament to how much we have transformed our approach. This match was a turning point—not just for the league title but also as preparation for the Arab Women Sports Tournament in February, which will be another crucial test for our team at the regional level."
Moza Al Shamsi: “A Well-Deserved Win That Reflects the Team’s Determination”
Moza Al Shamsi praised the team’s resilience and collective effort, emphasizing that their determination played a pivotal role in securing the win:"This victory is a reflection of teamwork and relentless spirit. From the start, we focused on mentally resetting the players after the first-leg loss, reassuring them that their efforts and commitment make them a source of pride—regardless of the outcome. Today, they proved that they were ready to fight for every point and maintain control, even during the most competitive moments of the match."
She also reaffirmed Sharjah Women’s Sports’ full support for the team:"The organization is fully committed to supporting the team through sports psychology programs at the Mental Preparation and Sports Medicine Centers. These resources are critical in shaping athletes to handle high-pressure situations like today’s must-win match."
She further encouraged greater fan engagement, especially from the younger generations, highlighting the importance of strong community backing in the upcoming decisive final.
