Sharjah Women\u2019s Sports Club athletes delivered an impressive performance in the U12 category at the Abu Dhabi International Fencing Championship, held at Al Ain\u2019s Al Nahyania Hall with the participation of more than 200 male and female fencers from clubs across the UAE and abroad. The team secured seven medals, reflecting the athletes\u2019 continued development and their ability to compete effectively in a large-scale championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the epee competition, which featured 22 athletes, Sharjah Women\u2019s Sports Club recorded a strong showing. Zainab Khalid Al Nahla claimed the silver medal, while Shaima Khalfan Al Qaz and Nadia Saeed Al Sharif shared third place and each secured bronze, in performances that highlighted the athletes\u2019 progress throughout the different stages of the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In foil, Sharjah Women\u2019s Sports Club athletes dominated the podium. Reem Omar Butti Al Shamsi won the gold medal, followed by Touleen Saif Mohsen with silver, while Fatim Khamis Al Badwawi and Fatima Jassim Al Baloushi each earned bronze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The club concluded the championship with a total of seven medals \u2014 one gold, two silver, and four bronze \u2014 an achievement that reflects the quality of the technical work and the continued development of the club\u2019s fencing base across the younger age groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Balqees Al Shehhi, Head of the Technical Analysis and Follow-up Section at Sharjah Women\u2019s Sports, said the results underline the importance of sustained development within the foundation age groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat the athletes achieved in this championship reflects the technical progress we are seeing across the younger age categories and reinforces the importance of investing in fundamental skills from an early age,\u201d she said. \u201cThese competitions provide the athletes with valuable competitive experience, help strengthen their self-confidence, and support the gradual development of their technical abilities within a long-term preparation pathway.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
