Sharjah Women\u2019s Sports Clubs continued their strong run at the UAE Athletics Cup across all age categories, held from 8 to 10 May 2026. Sharjah Women\u2019s Sports Club asserted its dominance by claiming the championship trophies in the Cubs, Youth and Women categories, alongside a series of individual podium finishes and new records, while Khorfakkan Women\u2019s Sports Club further strengthened its competitive presence with strong results across a range of events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The championship featured an impressive technical showing from Sharjah Women\u2019s Sports Clubs athletes, with achievements spanning track, field and relay events, reflecting continued progress and an expanding competitive base across the different age groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the Cubs category, Maria Fahad opened the medal tally with gold in the 80m hurdles, followed by Fatima Jassim with silver and Shaima Al Ansari with bronze. Maria returned to claim another gold in the 200m hurdles, with Fawaghi Humaid taking silver in the same event. Alya Khalid Al Shawri secured gold in both the 80m and 300m, while Zabrin Amros earned bronze in the 80m. Fawaghi Humaid also won gold in the 600m, while Hamda Jassim Ahli claimed gold in the 2000m with a new record. Mahra Jassim Ahli added silver in the 1000m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the jumping events, Reem Mohammed Al Badwawi continued her impressive form by winning gold in both the long jump and triple jump, setting a new national record in the latter. Alya Aqeel secured bronze in the triple jump, while Fatima Saud Al Sinani won gold in the high jump. Wadima Mohammed Fikri topped the pole vault, followed by Aya Wahab Al Kamali with silver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the throwing events, Hanan Ibrahim claimed gold in the shot put and silver in the discus. Rahaf Al Hosani won gold in the discus with a new national record and added silver in the shot put, while Dana Al Hosani secured silver in the hammer throw with another new national record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the 4x200m relay, the team of Alya Khalid Al Shawri, Zabrin Amros, Fawaghi Humaid and Fatima Jassim claimed silver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Khorfakkan Women\u2019s Sports Club also delivered a strong showing in the Cubs category. Fatima Rashid Sulaiman won silver in the 600m, while the 4x200m relay team of Yamama Abdullah, Hajar bint Hassan, Maryam Khalil and Fatima Rashid secured bronze. Maryam Omar added bronze medals in both the shot put and discus, Hajar Mahmoud Al Saadi took bronze in the hammer throw, Maitha Juma earned bronze in the javelin, and Meera Ibrahim claimed bronze in the 1000m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the Youth category, Sara Fahad Abdullah won gold in the 100m hurdles while setting a new national record, with Rawda Mohammed Al Jabri taking silver. Rawda also added silver in the triple jump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Samar Saleh won gold in the high jump with a new national record across all categories, in addition to silver in the long jump. Shahad Rashid claimed gold in the pole vault, while Alyazia Tariq took gold in the javelin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the track, Alya Al Muhairi secured silver in the 200m and gold in the 1500m. The medley relay team of Sara Fahad, Alya Al Muhairi, Rawda Al Jabri and Samar Saleh also claimed gold. Rodina Mohammed Adel won gold in the hammer throw, while Maryam Murad completed a double with gold medals in both the discus and shot put.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Khorfakkan Women\u2019s Sports Club maintained its competitive momentum in the Youth category, with Khadija Mohammed Al Hamsh winning gold in both the 100m and 200m, while Raya Moamen Al Dhanhani secured silver in the shot put and discus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the Junior Women category, Asmita Ganesh won gold in the 400m for Sharjah Women\u2019s Sports Club, while Sara Khalifa Al Naqbi claimed gold in the long jump for Khorfakkan Women\u2019s Sports Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sharjah\u2019s athletes continued their strong performances in the Women\u2019s category. Mahra Abdulrahim Anglia won gold in both the 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles, while Fatima Ali Al Baloushi claimed gold in the 100m and 200m. Abeer Ibrahim Al Baloushi added gold in the long jump, while Athraa Adel won gold in the 400m and silver in the 800m. Hiba Marwan also secured silver in the shot put.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 4x100m relay team of Mahra Abdulrahim, Abeer Ibrahim Al Baloushi, Fatima Ali Al Baloushi and Athraa Adel completed the team\u2019s strong showing with another gold medal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Commenting on the results, Mai Al Ameri, Deputy Director of Sharjah Women\u2019s Sports Club, said the achievements carried added significance given the challenges of the preceding period and the repeated changes they imposed on schedules and training programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe ability of the athletes and technical teams to maintain their focus and continue working despite changing circumstances reflects the level of commitment and professionalism within the system,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al Ameri also expressed her pride in the performances of Khorfakkan Women\u2019s Sports Club athletes, highlighting their continued development and increasingly strong competitive presence as a reflection of the quality and consistency of the technical work being carried out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hind Al Kabawi, Athletics Technical Director at Sharjah Women\u2019s Sports Clubs, said the championship results reflected technical stability and the continued progression of the athletes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
