The championship brought together a number of local clubs and academies, with competition across the U15 and Junior Women categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the U15 category, Kalba Women\u2019s Sports Club finished second overall after securing eight medals \u2014 four gold and four silver. Gold medals were won by Noura Sultan (-36kg), Sumaya Ahmed (-48kg), Dana Ali (-52kg) and Rodina Mohammed (-57kg), while Hafsa Khalifa (-40kg), Khawla Al Ansari (-52kg), Reem Yousuf (-44kg) and Al Reem Abdullah (-57kg) each claimed silver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sharjah Women\u2019s Sports Club, meanwhile, finished third overall in the U15 category with seven medals. Salma Ahmed (+70kg) claimed gold, while Shahad Hisham (-70kg) secured silver. Five bronze medals were won by Maram Amir (-40kg), Reem Ismail (-44kg), Alyazia Mohammed (-44kg), Mahra Mohammed (-57kg) and Malak Fadel (-63kg).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Junior Women category, Kalba Women\u2019s Sports Club continued its strong run by finishing second overall with six medals. Aisha Hassan (-52kg), Hiyam Ali (-48kg), Aya Adnan (-70kg) and Hessa Abdullah (-78kg) each won gold, while Nada Rashid (-44kg) and Hoor Al Marashda (-57kg) secured bronze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ghania Al Siyasi, Judo Coach at Kalba Women\u2019s Sports Club, said the results achieved at the Fujairah Open reflected the athletes\u2019 commitment and continued development, noting that the championship provided an important opportunity to assess their technical readiness against opponents of varying levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat we saw during the bouts was a clear improvement in the athletes\u2019 ability to apply their skills on the mat, particularly in terms of decision-making speed and adapting to the flow of each contest,\u201d she said. \u201cThese competitions give the athletes valuable real-world experience and help them build confidence progressively, which is one of our main priorities at this age.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lucy Jaddan, Judo Coach at Sharjah Women\u2019s Sports Club, said the team\u2019s participation in the Fujairah Open forms part of a long-term development pathway focused on building technical ability and gaining competitive experience, particularly within the U15 category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur main focus is on technical development. While the athletes demonstrate a good understanding of the skills during training, applying them effectively in competition still requires further work. This is completely natural at this stage and will continue to improve through consistent training and competitive exposure,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere has also been noticeable progress in their mental control, with the athletes becoming better able to manage the pressure of competition, which is an important part of their development.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She added: \u201cThe current results may not yet fully reflect the amount of work being done, but they show that the athletes are moving closer to a higher level. With continued training and participation, that progress will become increasingly evident in their results.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The performances underline the growing development of judo across Sharjah Women\u2019s Sports Clubs.
